TGE is at your side to help you support the COVID-19 initiatives of your choice.

Publication date: 6 Apr 2020

In the context of the Coronavirus pandemic we are all facing, Transnational Giving Europe aims more than ever to facilitate philanthropy across Europe.

During these difficult times, TGE is often called upon by donors looking to contribute to initiatives at the local and national levels. All our TGE partners are at disposal to enable you to support the charitable initiatives that are close your heart.  To do so, we invite you to contact your national TGE partner.

At the international level, Transnational Giving Europe is the proud partner of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund created by the World Health Organization under the umbrella of our partner, the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, and the UN Foundation. Click here for more information.

Additionally, several TGE partners have responded to the crisis by building their own initiatives, in partnership with well-known national nonprofit organizations. We have prepared a list for you below.

BELGIUM

On the initiative of hospital institutions, the King Baudouin Foundation has opened several project accounts aimed at raising funds to acquire hospital material. Click here for further information.

There are also a number of other project accounts, created at the initiative of hospitals and managed by the King Baudouin Foundation. Please don’t hesitate to check these out via www.kbs-frb.be

If you are located in Belgium, please use the links provided above.

If you wish to make a donation from Europe through TGE, please contact your national TGE partner.

FRANCE

In the alliance “All United Against Coronavirus”, Fondation de France, Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and Institut Pasteur have decided to join forces and mobilize their entire network. Given the enormous number of needs, a call for solidarity has been launched to support healthcare workers, researchers and help the most vulnerable. The donations collected will be used to help healthcare workers – whether in hospitals or not-, to finance research projects as well as to support local social professionals and charities working with the most vulnerable.
