As war continues to rage on in Ukraine and humanitarian needs in the country and among the thousands of displaced Ukrainians continue to rise by the hour, we are seeing an incredible solidarity building across Europe.
In border countries directly affected by the crisis and which have now seen thousands of Ukrainian refugees cross their borders, our Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) partners have launched solutions to directly support frontline organisations and answer the call for help from neighboring Ukrainian charities.
HUNGARY & SLOVAKIA
Our TGE partners Carpathian Foundation Hungary and Carpathian Foundation Slovakia have joined forces to initiate the Slovak-Hungarian Emergency Response Fund for Ukrainians.
The initiative aims to facilitate European donations to support the situation of Ukrainians in the border regions and answer urgent humanitarian and longer-term needs.
The resources will go to non-profit organizations active in Ukraine to provide direct emergency aid in the country. The funds will be used to deliver, for example, food and hygiene parcels as well as drinking water and firewood.
Donations will also support Hungarian and Slovakian non-profit organizations that are building and funding refugees welcoming capacities in these two countries.

POLAND
In Poland, our TGE partner Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland has established a Ukrainian Emergency Fund to support local Polish nonprofits operating in regions close to the Polish-Ukrainian border.
The Fund shall focus on the support to Ukrainian refugees to handle the most urgent needs after arrival to Poland.
